Transformation is inherent to the landscape.
about my printmaking
For me, printmaking is an inspiring process in which each project takes a different path. Since 2012, I focus on the screenprinting technique. Fascinated by the landscape, the clouds, the phenomenon of color and the history and aesthetics of landscape painting I make my graphic compositions through montage, collage and subtle or extensive image manipulations.
My recent printmaking reflects a search for a new personal freedom of expression that I’m developing at this moment, inspired by the divisionism, trough different interpretations of the principles of the 4 color process printing.
It is the process of printmaking that makes me see and experience the landscape in a certain way, and also vice versa: how the landscape affects me?
about my video-installations
Very fascinating to me is the search for the physical presence of the projected image (and this to a certain space, the subject of the experimental film, and the materials from which the installation is made) and how it (re-)defines space and our perceptions and experiences with moving images.
